Niamh is the Chief Executive of the International Foundation for Integrated Care (IFIC), a not-for-profit working to promote integrated care worldwide. Since joining in 2021, Niamh has overseen development of a new long term strategy and operating model, all focused on translating integrated care research into policy and practice world wide.
IFIC delivers its vision through research, analysis and insight, education and training for policy makers, providers and community leaders, convening events, and through partnership with others.
Previously, Niamh led the European health practice for Optimity Advisors which included EU Commission funded integrated care programmes. Before that, Niamh spent 25 years in various academic, advisory, managerial and clinical roles at the NHS in England, Deloitte, Imperial College London, Tose Respite Care Home and TaoHealth.
Niamh has a background as a clinician, policy advisor and researcher, with a PhD in organisational behaviour from Imperial College London.
Niamh is a current trustee of The Advocacy People, which ensures the voices of people using health and care services in the UK are heard. She is a visiting lecturer at City St Georges, University of London.
Niamh is passionate about putting people and communities genuinely at the centre of care that is seamless from their point of view. She is an advocate of using evidence to inform decision-making that balances numbers and stories and builds on strengths and assets.
