Teun Toebes (25) is a care innovator whose mission is to improve the quality of life of people with dementia worldwide. For over 3 years, he has been living on the closed ward of a nursing home. He has experienced why looking differently at dementia and care is so badly needed, which is why Teun decided to take his mission to the next level by looking beyond Dutch borders
To find answers about how we can make the future more beautiful and inclusive, he travelled the world together with filmmaker Jonathan de Jong over the past few years for the international documentary ‚Human Forever‘ to see what we can learn from other countries. The film premiered at a G20 summit on dementia, has been awarded a Golden Calf and is now being screened in 18 countries.
Teun Toebes has more than 150 thousand followers on social media and can be seen a lot in the international media. He speaks widely at international conferences and previously were published the #1 global bestseller The Housemates, Een Wereld te Winnen and the international award-winning documentary ‚Human Forever‘.
